Chainfields are production lines, which players must fill with Spacecombs to start a production cycle and generate resources.
Without a Chainfield, players cannot begin a production and collect resources. The only way to collect resources for free is through the Faucet.
Chainfields possess a maximum operating time that defines the production's duration.
They also come with a limited number of uses, after which the Chainfield must be repaired using Hyperium.
Chainfields have a rarity ranging from Common to Mythic. Rarity influences both:
Max operating time (rarer have longer operating time)
Number of uses before repair (rare allow more uses)

Chainfields can have one or more Levels, spanning from 1 to 4.
Each Level can contain up to 4 slots. At least one Chainfield's slot must be filled with a Spacecomb of the required level to start a production.
Each Level has at least 1 slot.
Chainfields can have different amount of total slots.
It's worth noting that Levels do not dictate the number of slots in a Chainfield. Rather, this is determined by the rarity, but not in a progressive way.
Example: Common Chainfields tend to have more slots for lower levels, where weaker Spacecombs are going to be placed, compared to Legendary and Mythic Chainfields, which have more slots at high Levels, where stronger Spacecombs are going to be placed.
To commence production, players must fill at least one Chainfield slot.
Players can start a production by filling at least one Chainfield's slot. However, they will incur in a malus for each empty slot when the production starts.
A Chainfield can execute 1 production at a time.
A single player can possess more than a Chainfield running a production at the same time.

Both Venue Sponsorship and ONI Boost are applied to individual Chainfield productions. If a player intends to run multiple Chainfield productions simultaneously, the bonuses must be applied to each Chainfield separately.
Chainfields must be staked to be used within the game.
Chainfields can be unstaked only when they have the max number of uses available:
A Chainfield with 10 out of 10 uses can be unstaked.
A Chainfield with 9 out of 10 uses can't be unstaked until it's repaired.
